Simple but more expensive.

We do not provide the tools to create Foundation Blanks and Echoes. Instead we recommend you use a trusted 3rd party provider like Chisel.

You must create your descendants from the same wallet that holds your Genesis Blank.

Step 1 - Delegate

Open Chisel. Choose "Delegate" underneath Inscribe and enter the inscription ID of your Genesis Blank.

The inscription ID is the 66 character string that is unique to your inscription. It can be found in your wallet.

Step 2 - Metadata

To create a Foundation Blank you'll need to create a file containing the metadata generated by the Canvas tool. Give the file a .json extension. Click on the icon next to the delegate form input to upload your metadata file.

When creating an Echo you can skip the metadata.

Metadata is a long string of serialized data in JSON format. The more colors you have the longer your metadata will be.

If you want to give your inscription a little something extra you can choose to inscribe on a rare sat.

Step 3 - Parent

To create a Foundation Blank, enter the inscription ID of your Genesis Blank in the parent field. This is the same ID entered in step 1.

To create an Echo enter the inscription ID of your Foundation Blank in the parent field.

Step 4 - Destination and Fees

Enter your wallet address in the destination form input, choose a network fee, choose your postage, and click "Submit".

Step 5 - Payment

Because you're inscribing a child the payment is a two-step process. First you must send the fees to the address provided and then you must send the parent inscription, which will be returned to you after the child has been created.
