# Overview

Introducing Blanks: An evolution in Ordinals collectibles. When you hold a Blank you hold much more than a simple image. You're holding a piece of history, and a portal to endless creativity.

But what exactly is a Blank? Let's peel back the layers and take a closer look.

At first glance, every Blank greets you with a charming little animal. There are 8 different animals, each with a different rarity.

Behind each animal is a dynamic background that has been mathematically generated. **Every week your Blank reveals a fresh background**. Or more precisely, every 1000 blocks. The animal remains the same.

There are thousands of different background combinations, each one designed to be clean and crisp. Backgrounds aren't always one-of-a-kind - maybe one day you'll have a twin out there!
