πReplication
Copies. And copies of copies.
Blanks are revolutionary in the way they encourage and handle replication. While there is a limited supply of Genesis Blanks, there is an unlimited supply of descendants. Every Genesis Blank can have a whole family tree designed by you!

The Technical Details
Blanks use two cutting edge features of Ordinals theory - provenance and delegation.
Provenance
The Ordinal Theory Handbook has this to say on provenance:
The owner of an inscription can create child inscriptions, trustlessly establishing the provenance of those children on-chain as having been created by the owner of the parent inscription.
Delegation
The Ordinal Theory Handbook has this to say on delegation:
Inscriptions may nominate a delegate inscription. Requests for the content of an inscription with a delegate will instead return the content, content type and content encoding of the delegate. This can be used to cheaply create copies of an inscription.
Provenance + Delegation = πππ
Putting this all together, you can create an inscription that is a child of your Blank and delegates to your Blank, and based on the metadata defined it will create a custom inscription with your artwork for a very low cost. Every descendant can be traced back to your Blank, establishing an unbreakable on-chain connection.
Lineage
There are 3 generations of Blanks that are supported.
Genesis Blanks (parent)
Genesis Blanks are the main collection. These are inscriptions that were minted just like every other collection. All the application features are available in the Genesis Blanks. A Genesis Blank serves as the parent for creating Foundation Blanks and should be the delegate for all descendants.
Foundation Blanks (child)
Foundation Blanks are the children of Genesis Blanks and showcase your own custom artwork. The metadata inscribed with each Foundation Blank is what determines its content. Foundation Blanks should delegate to their parent.
Echoes (grandchild)
An Echo is like a copy of a Foundation Blank. Think of it like an open edition. Once you've created a Foundation Blank you can generate a series of Echoes to sell or give away to friends and supporters.
An Echo should be a child of a Foundation Blank, and should delegate to the Genesis Blank. Echoes don't need any metadata because they use the metadata of their parent.
Insights
Lineage insights are built into each Blank. When you open the built-in application you'll see which type of inscription you have.
The Genesis Blanks' application has already been covered. The Foundation Blanks and Echoes have applications that display information about their lineage.
